RODE NET
The official net of the *Grupo de Radio Operadores del Este de PR* (RODE) takes place every Monday at 23:00 UTC—which corresponds to 7:00 p.m. local time in Puerto Rico (AST). A special edition is held on the third Monday of every month, featuring segments on the history of radio presented by WP4VW “El Cibuco,” broadcasting from Houston, Texas.
These transmissions are primarily hosted on the *Cadena Independiente de Repetidores BORICUAS* (BORICUAS Independent Repeater Network), which is noted for its high-quality, clear audio, extensive coverage across the island, and operational independence. The network links multiple local and remote repeaters, enabling amateur radio operators from various locations—both within and outside of Puerto Rico—to participate.
In addition to the RODE Net, the network offers a diverse weekly schedule, including the PASOLA (Latin American Operators Society) Net, which originates from Pennsylvania every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Puerto Rico time (00:00 UTC on Wednesday).
Furthermore, the ARRL Puerto Rico Section Traffic Net takes place on the second Thursday of each month. On other days, we host various themed sessions organized by different groups and call signs.
We sincerely thank all the amateur radio operators who participate in these nets, as well as the groups, individual operators, collaborators, and repeater trustees who make these activities possible. Your dedication, support, and commitment to maintaining and operating this network strengthen the bonds of friendship, camaraderie, and unity that define our amateur radio community.
